Jack is a PhD-level therapist and counselor who is recognized as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor in the State of Georgia.
Jack is the operator/owner of Rise and Renew Counseling, a private practice with offices in Buckhead and Norcross, Georgia. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Jack is currently seeing clients virtually out of an abundance of caution to do no harm and foster the best possible therapeutic environment.
Jack specializes in marriage counseling, mood disorders, substance abuse, step-families, men’s issues, pre-marital, parent-child relations, issues of divorce, career development, grief, behavioral problems, and faith exploration. He has a lot of experiencing counseling individuals with issues stemming from substance abuse, stepfamilies, and children and adolescent concerns. Jack is a certified counselor of the prepare and enrich program for engaged and married couples. He is also conversational in Spanish.
Individual, couples, group, and psycho-educational services are provided.
Jack recently completed his Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at Mercer University where he previously graduated with a Masters degree in professional counseling.
Before entering the field of counseling, Jack’s work experience includes a long and successful career in broadcasting where he played an integral role in shaping CNN’s syndicated news service into an industry leader.
Jack brings a lot of counseling as well as practical experience into the counseling process. He is a firm believer in suspending all forms of judgment so that his clients feel comfortable talking about their concerns. His dissertation focused on establishing a scientific definition of self-love, which is also a main focus of his therapeutic approach to help individuals accept themselves unconditionally. |
